Georgian Bay - watercolor

Georgian Bay is a large bay of Lake Huron, located entirely within Ontario, Canada.

Years ago, I spent my vacation in the Bay area. The watercolor painting shown here was done at site.

For those interested in learning watercolor painting, I would like to tell about “The Masking Fluid”.

When you want to leave the paper white in places (instead of using white paint), draw the shapes with the masking fluid on the paper and paint on top of it. Later, using an eraser, you can remove the dried up fluid and expose the paper as the white shape. In this painting, I created the shapes of the white seagulls in the sky by this technique.

The reason for introducing the topic of the Masking Fluid here is this:

I started experimenting with it and took its usage to extreme. The result was unique textures which cannot be achieved by any other method. I shall post a sample of that kind of work next week in Vallamai.

    மேலும் பலவண்ணக் கூட்டணியில் பூத்து,
