As you can notice this is the first time I’ve matched a festival season, though by a mere coincidence. The basic pencil sketches and needed maskings of these two Devis on A1 sized 300mg watercolour papers were ready two months back but I couldnt paint because of a few unexpected jobs that demanded more of my time and attention. And when I revisited them a few days back Navratri / Pooja / Dassera had just begun. As I’d wanted, finally, these paintings helped me break the monotony that was building. Very happy Navratri! The back light in Kali ma taught me certain technics and my learning continues.
