The Jhansi hospital fire incident due to a short circuit has claimed the lives of 10 infants. World over, one of the main reasons for fire accidents is short circuits. How to prevent such incidents in future?
I like to restructure the wiring style; instead of lengthy wiring, we can make multiple parts & unite them with junction points every 10 meter. The whole wiring unit should be monitored at a central dashboard in the building / premise / campus. The electricity flow, load, pressure, leakage, wire quality… etc should be monitored by the system. Nearby temperature, humidity, wind flow of the wire can also be monitored.
If we find any abnormal thing in the electric flow, any spark or more heat in any wire, the system should automatically stop electricity to the particular point & isolate it from other junctions. It will stop spreading the fire; save lives & assets. It should also alert the nearby electricity management team & building owner. If we isolate that point, remaining rooms / areas can get electricity. After solving the issue, we can allow electricity in the wire.
This Split & Connect method can be used in every electrical equipment like fridge, TV, AC, Washing machine, hospital machines, industrial machines. If any issue in any equipment, the electricity should be stopped automatically, along with surrounding 10 meters of junction points. This will stop further damage to the equipment also. We can also use this method in electric cars & two wheelers, in case of any fire.
