    இன்றைய நாளிதழில் எஸ்.பி.கோயில் என்ற பெயரைக் கண்டேன். சிங்கப்பெருமாள் கோவில் என்ற அழகிய பெயரைத்தான் இப்படி எழுதியிருக்கிறார்கள். தியாகராய நகர் என்ற பெயர் தி.நகராகி, பலர் நாவில் டி.நகர் ஆகிவிட்டது. கலைஞர் கருணாநிதி நகர், எப்போதோ கே.கே.நகர் ஆகிவிட்டது. வியாசர்பாடியில் மகாகவி பாரதி நகர், எம்.கே.பி. நகர் ஆகிவிட்டது.

    அரியலூரில் தாதம்பேட்டை பழூர் என்ற ஊர், தா.பழூர் ஆகி, டி.பழூர் ஆனது. கோவையில் பாப்பநாயக்கன் பாளையம், பி.என்.பாளையம் ஆனது. குப்பைக் கோனான் புதூர், கே.கே. புதூர் ஆனது. மதுரை மாவட்டத்தில் தேவன்குறிச்சி கல்லுப்பட்டி என்ற ஊர், தே.கல்லுப்பட்டி ஆகி, பிறகு டி.கல்லுப்பட்டி ஆனது. இப்படி ஒவ்வொரு மாவட்டத்திலும் ஏராளமான ஊர்களும் சாலைகளும் சுருக்கெழுத்துகளால் அடையாளம் இழந்துள்ளன.

    பல ஊர்களில் கிழக்கு, மேற்கு, வடக்கு, தெற்கு என்ற முன்னொட்டுகளுடன் ஊர்ப்பகுதிகளும் வீதிகளும் உள்ளன. இவை அனைத்தும் இன்று ஈஸ்ட், வெஸ்ட், நார்த், சவுத் என வாய்க்கு வாய் பேசப்படுகின்றன.

    இடங்கள் மட்டுமில்லாமல், மனிதர்களின் பெயர்களும் இன்று சுருக்கப் பெயர்களாகி வருகின்றன. முதலெழுத்து மட்டுமின்றி, முழுப் பெயருமே ஆங்கிலச் சுருக்கெழுத்துகளால் அழைக்கப்படுகின்றன. பதவிப் பெயர்களும் பட்டப் பெயர்களும் கூட இதே போல் சுருங்கிவிட்டன. கட்சிப் பெயர்களும் தலைவர்களின் பெயர்களும் கூட ஆங்கிலச் சுருக்கெழுத்துகளால் அழைக்கப்படுகின்றன.

    இணைய உரையாடல்களின் சுருக்கெழுத்துகள், பெரும்பாலும் ஆங்கிலத்தில் கோலோச்சுகின்றன. அன்றாடம், புதுப் புதுச் சுருக்கெழுத்துகள் தீயாய்ப் பரவுகின்றன. திரைப்படங்களின் பெயர்களும் கூட இவ்வாறே சுருங்குகின்றன. பொன்னியின் செல்வன் பி.எஸ். ஆகிறது.

    உலகம் நம் உள்ளங்கைக்குள் சுருங்கி வருவதில் நமக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியே. ஆனால், நம் மொழியும் அவ்வாறு சுருங்கிவிடக் கூடாது. இடத்தின், பொருளின், தொழில்நுட்பத்தின், உயிர்களின், நபர்களின் முழுப் பெயரையும் வாயார அழைப்போம். ஒருவேளை சுருக்கினாலும் தமிழில் சுருக்குவோம்.

    The Jhansi hospital fire incident due to a short circuit has claimed the lives of 10 infants. World over, one of the main reasons for fire accidents is short circuits. How to prevent such incidents in future?

    I like to restructure the wiring style; instead of lengthy wiring, we can make multiple parts & unite them with junction points every 10 meter. The whole wiring unit should be monitored at a central dashboard in the building / premise / campus. The electricity flow, load, pressure, leakage, wire quality… etc should be monitored by the system. Nearby temperature, humidity, wind flow of the wire can also be monitored.

    If we find any abnormal thing in the electric flow, any spark or more heat in any wire, the system should automatically stop electricity to the particular point & isolate it from other junctions. It will stop spreading the fire; save lives & assets. It should also alert the nearby electricity management team & building owner. If we isolate that point, remaining rooms / areas can get electricity. After solving the issue, we can allow electricity in the wire.

    This Split & Connect method can be used in every electrical equipment like fridge, TV, AC, Washing machine, hospital machines, industrial machines. If any issue in any equipment, the electricity should be stopped automatically, along with surrounding 10 meters of junction points. This will stop further damage to the equipment also. We can also use this method in electric cars & two wheelers, in case of any fire.

    Today I got an idea to apply gesture commands, to file transfer and more actions between devices; from laptop to mobile / tab or vice versa or other devices. After pairing them with Bluetooth, we can pick a file / folder by pointing with our index finger; then with five fingers together (standing posture) we can move towards the target device; to accept the file, we can use four fingers as we say come in to a friend; with this action, we can transfer files quickly. We can even show the target device with the same index finger to select, if there are more devices nearby.
    With gestures we can upload & download files. We can pick a file / folder by pointing with our index finger; then with five fingers together (palm upside) move upwards to upload. Similarly with palm downside move downwards to download.
    To run an app / audio / video, we can apply the same index finger to select & gun posture to run (thumb finger upside, index finger straight as pointing, all three other fingers are closed).
    With these gestures, we can run a video from mobile to TV; an OTT movie from laptop to TV; we can also switch a video call from mobile to laptop or TV. If we already paired these devices, the security issue will be solved. To authenticate these fingers, we can use biometric.
    We can also use gestures to stop a video as how a traffic police stops a vehicle with five fingers; we can show this gesture two times to stop a video / audio / game.
    There are more options to develop the gesture language; we need to standardize them quickly; so the future generation will have less operational efforts / struggles; and can spend more time on actual life.

    On the rise of AI (Artificial Intelligence), I have a different idea & use case. This is a kind of GPS. With the voice or sound, find the location. Following a bird’s voice, finding the exact location, when you are surrounded by a lot of trees (even we can automate a camera to record the bird with the help of Voice GPS; even the bird moves here and there. We can also do this by tracking the motion). Find a person by his / her voice, in a crowded stadium. Find a baby by his / her voice, in a crowded market, beach, play area or theme park. Find a person by his / her voice, in a collapsed building or earthquake disaster. In a huge auditorium or town hall, find a person who is making a question or comment. Similarly we can find who is sleeping by his / her snore or who is disturbing in the crowd.

    In addition to this, we can find the voice, whose voice it is, the tone & mood. This will be highly helpful to visually challenged people. In the process of voice recognition, we can create a huge audio / sound library. Then we can find the bird’s voice; also which bird it is. We can also create sound tracks and differentiate sounds which are playing at a time. We can create a hundred separate audio / video records, when a hundred birds are chirping at a time. This is like a natural symphony.
    Another addition. We can validate a voice or sound; even if it is human voice, bird, animal, machine, wind.. etc. Verify an original sound; find the duplicate, mimicry & imitation.

    Recently I bought a Mosquito net for a single bed. Prior to this, I was using a Mosquito net for a double bed. Both I bought from Amazon from the same brand Classic Mosquito net.

    Both nets are 200 CM length, which is comfortable. Width is 200 CM for double; 130 CM for single, that is also fine. My issue is not with the height (145 CM for double; 120 CM for single); but the entry portion of the net, where we open & close the zip.

    When they reduce the height, the entry portion height is also reduced; so I have to bend more to accommodate the net (my bed is on the floor without a cot). I can adjust to bend more. But, I feel this is a design problem to be addressed.

    Today I made a transaction through Google Pay. It asked to provide the Location access for security reasons. Yes, it is a good step. I agreed; the transaction was successful and I left the shop.

    After several hours, I found out that the GPS is still ON. If the Location access is for the money transaction means, after the transaction, it should go automatically OFF right? Why is this keeping on tracking & wasting the battery?

    At least there should be an alert to continue the location access or not, for further transactions.

    How mosquitoes are biting us, little away from the reach of our hands? Mostly in back body, back arms, legs, thighs, forehead, neck… etc? I was wondering & observing this so long. If it is in front of us, we will kill them on the spot. Now, before we reach the spot, they will flee & stay safe.

    Yesterday I found the reason, when a mosquito was biting me. It’s similar to Newton discovered Gravity when he saw a falling apple .

    Mosquitoes have an ability to sense human eyes. They have a sensor to detect our vision in microseconds. Also whether the eye is active or sleepy, the direction and the concentration. So, it’s avoiding the focus point of eyes. You may notice, if we look or concentrate somewhere else, it will sit straight on top of the nose. In normal, it will prefer to bite, where we are not looking.

    How are mosquitoes able to sense the vision?

    I remember an unique feature of eyes. If someone look us from anywhere, from any distance, even we look in the opposite side, we will turn to them immediately. There is a connection / contact in between eyes.

    This eye contact exists even with animals including snakes, dogs, elephants. In general, we understand this as a power of human eyes. Humans  make eye contact with other animals. Now we have to look in reverse. Animals and other species make eye contact with one another & also with humans. This research will be really an eye opener.
    In this background, mosquito is reading human eyes to select the safe spot to bite. But, human beings don’t have the ability to read a mosquito’s eyes.

    Male and female mosquitoes see by using their two compound eyes for vision. Compound eyes are located on each side of the adult mosquito’s head and each eye is made up on hundreds of small lenses called ommatidia. The multitude of ommatidia enables the mosquito to see from many directions at once.

    We need to create a device or sensor to detect mosquito eyes; also to create an artificial vision to send signals to mosquitoes that the human vision is active and following / focusing mosquito. If we make this, there is a chance to restrict mosquitoes.

    In another way, we can detect mosquito eyes and send a nano laser light with more blink or bright or sound; if it happened, they will not come close to the object and surrounding. This should be only observed by mosquitoes; not by human or any other species. An artificial intelligence system can easily detect mosquito eyes by it’s unique design. If we blind that eye with a sharp light, that will be the end of mosquito.

    I request biomedical scientists to take this research forward.

    Got a call from this number; an usual automated voice call for marketing & promotion of a credit card. When I cut the call, got an idea.

    Mobile phone manufacturers & UI designers can add two buttons in the Call app: 1.Spam 2.Block.

    When we get unwanted calls & messages, instead of End / Delete button, we can choose either Spam or Block. It will not only delete; also mark as spam; also block the number. It will save lot of time.

    After a heavy rain yesterday, I had a ride on my two-wheeler from Guindy to Tambaram on the GST road, Chennai. I was passing through the metro bridge, received few drops of water from the upper side for few minutes; it makes me feel good. Suddenly I got the idea about Rain Road.

    We can create any road into Rain Road with a roof & drizzle; these drops can be very little & micro. We can operate this according to traffic; if there is no traffic or less traffic, we can control this supply. Along with drops, we can create some air waves; we can raise standing garden in both sides & top. We can also play some mild / melody / romantic tunes.

    This will make an enjoyable ride, will cool riders & make them calm down. They may think positive & contribute well to the society. This will also bring down all dust from the air. Riders choosing this road can wear a rain coat; pedestrians, who don’t want to get wet, can keep an umbrella. We should make the special road to obsorb water instantly; so, we can avoid accidents. Can keep all Do’s & Don’ts, Disclaimers, Precautions in this road. This can be an adventurous ride upto some extent. We can charge a special toll to maintain, manage these roads.
