‘Sevalaya’s Diwali Lights overwhelmed the Darkness’

‘Diwali Day’ was celebrated on 10th of November in Sevalaya’s Service centre at Kasuva at 10.00 AM.  The chief guest Ms. Srimathi Shivashankar (Associate Vice President – Diversity & Sustainability, HCL Technologies) has presided over the devotional function, to invoke the blessings of the God Almighty to the residents that include Orphan children, Destitute Senior Citizens & Balwadi Kids. In order to inculcate the ‘Religious Harmony’ in the tender minds of the kids, Sevalaya has a reputation of celebrating all auspicious days of every religion.

Students of Mahakavi Barathiyar Hr Sec School have given a spectacular cultural program by many forms that included a small skit about the concept of Diwali, poetry and a dance sequel.  Mr. Ram of HCL Technologies felt triumphant by visiting an Organization whose main agenda was educating the poor kids.  He has jovially compared the school kids to the stars and the Teachers to the Moon.  He also told the audience that the HCL Team’s quest for social responsibility is satisfied by the involvement in the activities of Sevalaya.  Colorful posters depicting the Diwali were displayed in the stage by the HCL staff.  Students and staff from Saraswathi   Matriculation School have donated new cloths to the resident children of Sevalaya.
