On Bhoodevi’s plea, Krishna decides to descend on earth to re-establish dharma.
1. During her pregnancy, Devaki ate the mud, symbolic of the earth, as if to show that the one who devoured the earth is inside her.
2. She dreamt that she was lying on Anantha and transported by Garuda. It was as though they served Krishna inside her womb.
